I've been finding quite a few interesting old vids about some of the godfathers of electronic music. Here's one of the most prominent. Literally every big musician or band - from the Beatles, David Bowie or Prince to Daft Punk, Deadmau5 and Trentemoeller - has used at least one of Robert Moog's carefully crafted synthesizers. The first clip has Mr. Moog himself demonstrating his masterpiece, the next one is a neat 9-minutes on its history. Bob Moog passed away in 2005, so the last clip, entitled "Saving the Bob Moog Archives", features friends, family, admirers and associates talking about carrying on his legacy.
Fans should be sure to check out the Moog Foundation for more info on the man and the machine.
