I like odd names, they intrigue me. Often you're left to find that the music doesn't live up to the coolness of the name - but not this time. Hudson Mohawke - we mentioned him the other week as he was featured on the Wireblock Records XLR8R podcast.I'll admit, I rarely get this excited about an artist. He is one of the few that juggle with genres and does it well. Forward thinking, mainly hiphop style rhythms and clever, catchy melodies. Reminds me a bit of Flying Lotus.
His debut album "Butter" is out this October. No doubt it'll be biiiiiig.
