New Major Lazer clip

Here are the two video versions of Major Lazer's latest release "Keep It Goin' Louder", featuring Nina Sky in a catchy hook and Ricky Blaze on autotune. Both clips are awesome and terrifying in their own way.

There's something about autotune though that makes me want to spew. I think it's because the first time I heard it was in one of my top 3 most annoying tracks of all time. Maybe vomiting through autotune would sound cool? Oh right, Kanye already did that.

This case of autotunage doesn't seem to bother me though, au contraire my dears. Had this track in my head all day. The bassline reminds me of 90's one-hit-wonder Olive's "You're Not Alone" (anyone remember that one?)

So Crookers' highly awaited debut album "Tons of Friends" is set to finally hit the stores January 2010. Expect some Dancehall and Autotune. Along with the record comes a long list of prominent guests that will support the guys on it: Spank Rock, Major Lazer, Tim Burgess (Chemical Brothers vocalist), Roisin Murphy (former Moloko singer), Kelis, Kid Cudi, Pitbull, Radioclit, Rye Rye and Madness. Kanye is rumored to be in too, although I'm sure we wouldn't hear too many complaints if he wasn't.

Major Lazer (aka Diplo + Switch) are shooting their next video for the upcoming single "Keep It Goin' Louder" at Studio B in Brooklyn this Saturday. If you look above, you gotta be there early to get it and make sure to RSVP to the email provided.

Bacardi presents B-Live @ House of Blues

Bacardi is taking their B-Live show to Boston June 18th and has quite an exciting line-up to go with it. The House of Blues will be hosting the party with Switch and Diplo throwing it down as Major Lazer, along with Kanye West's fast-handed Canadian tour DJ A-Trak, Steve Porter and NYC's popular synthienuts Matt & Kim. I've been to a couple of Bacardi sponsored parties myself and they were all pretty wild. On top of that, $10 for four acts is quite a bargain.
